Thank you for taking a look at the presale of the Trinity. If you haven't watched this video best to do that before reading this description:
Thats a far better illustrates what the tool is and what it does than I can give you in writing.
Instead I'll address some other questions you might have:
-
This seems like a Kickstarter, why didn’t you do an actual Kickstarter?
I didn’t want to pay the Kickstarter platform fees if the project was better run just as a presale on my website.
I did a Kickstarter for the Twin Turbo Vise, and it worked and made sense in that case, but the state of my business and Trinity itself are both a lot different. - How confident are you in the design and schedule REALLY!? Extremely confident! The Trinity you saw in the video was the first one made after the 3D printed prototype from 6 years ago. That means I worked from the old prototype as a starting point, sat down with my engineer in a series of meetings, designing what you saw in action, and I have the factory that will do all the production to make it. And the Trinity I have in hand is already fantastic! It’s rare for things to move this fast, and it’s a great sign. The tweaks I want to make to improve the final product are minimal, for example: the extra marks on the face plate mentioned in the video.
- And what’s the schedule, how do you know you won’t be late? November 1st, that’s when I need to receive the shipment of Trinity Tools if I’m going to “get it to you before Christmas” as I said in the video. That means I need to finalize the production drawings with all modifications by August 1st. The first week of April I'll order a batch of 10 Trinities with the changes I want to make to the current Trinity from the video, and I'll have those by mid-May. That gives me two and a half months with the ‘Version 2’ of Trinity to get feedback from 10 people, and detail any further modifications for the final production design. That’s more time than what is typically needed!
Lastly, my upcoming videos will feature this Trinity refining and production effort, and every time a schedule milestone is hit, or I better demonstrate a strong point of the final production version of the Trinity the presale price will tick up. I think thats fair, the longer you wait, and the less information you have when you purchase the better a deal you should get. If I had to guess now I'd estimate that the full price for the Trinity once production is in, presales have shipped, and I have inventory to fill orders immediately the price will be $500.
